About
An Osteopathic View.
A Christian Worldview.
Whole-Person Research.
DO RESEARCH exists to reveal by research the things that were previously hidden — pursuing the wellbeing of the whole person, the body, mind, and spirit.
Who We Are
DO RESEARCH is a nonprofit organization dedicated to human research involving the whole person. We believe the most important questions about health and healing deserve careful, honest study — and that the answers can change lives for the present and the future.
Our Views
Our Osteopathic View
We hold an Osteopathic view of the patient. We recognize that the primary principle of Osteopathic Medicine is the importance of considering each person to be a unit of body, mind, and spirit in health and disease. Treatments should be guided through the understanding of this unity to restore balance.
Our Christian Worldview
We hold a Christian worldview and approach our research from a Christian perspective. Because we understand that God has placed within our whole person a natural tendency of the body toward healing, an innate ability of the mind to restore itself, and a drive within the spirit to have a relationship with God, we are not primarily trying to stop disorder and disease — but rather to promote healing, facilitate restoration, and pursue harmony.
Who We Serve
We welcome:
- People with PTSD who may wish to volunteer for a study
- Mental health professionals who may wish to refer volunteers
- Healthcare providers who may refer volunteers — or volunteer as researchers themselves
- Spiritual leaders who want to learn more about our approach
- Everyone who wants to find the answers to important whole-person questions
